Guests can book the ferry to Maria Island and join our cruise from the Darlington Jetty. 

The cruise will pickup from Maria Island (Darlington Jetty) at 10:40am and return to Maria Island at 1pm.

Join us on this informative and enthralling 3.5hrs scenic cruise from Triabunna or build your day experience by catching the ferry and join the cruise from Darlington.

Your scenic cruise offers all the expert commentary and sights from our award winning day tour.  The cruise will take you around the remote coastline of Maria Island to Riedle Bay, exploring the famous Fossil Cliffs and Painted Cliffs. The Maria Island coastal cruise is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

An alternative cruise will be offered on Saturday to visit the jewel in Tasmania's wilderness crown, Ile Des Phoque.  Here we will sit with playful young Australian Fur Seals and explore the giant Rainbow Sea Caves, spending over 1hr at this remarkable little island.  Your cruise will then return to Maria Island to view the famous Fossil Cliffs and Painted Cliffs, before returning to Triabunna.

Combine your cruise with spending time on Maria Island hiking, mountain biking, swimming or just relaxing with wombats, before catching the ferry home.  The cruise will also pickup from Darlington Jetty at 10:40am and return at 1pm for guests spending the day on Maria Island.

Tea, coffee, & water is complimentary.  Soft drinks, beer, wine and ice cream are available for purchase onboard.

Cruise departs Triabunna at 10:00am and returns at 1:30pm.

General Booking Terms

Maria Island Cruises reserves the right to cancel departures at anytime and will refund the full amount of any monies paid by the customer. Bookings must be confirmed by Maria Island Cruises before the commencement of the cruise. Cancellations by the customer must be made 24 hours prior to the cruise departure to avoid cancellation fees. Cancellations by the customer within 24 hours of the tour departure will attract a cancellation fee of fifty percent of the total tour cost. Customers who cancel on the day of their cruise or tour booking or who fail to attend will be charged the full amount and not be entitled to a refund . A voucher will be issued instead for 50% of the tour value. Prices may be subject to change at anytime.
